Álex Márquez dominated the afternoon free practice session in Jerez, coming close to the circuit record in a difficult session for his brother Marc.
Jerez welcomed MotoGP fans for one of the most exciting days of the World Championship. The Spanish riders, fully aware of the significance of their participation in the race, took center stage. Álex Márquez (30) pushed hard and posted the fastest lap in the afternoon practice for the Spanish Grand Prix.
The session got off to a rocky start as Francesco Bagnaia crashed early on. By the end, Álex Márquez emerged as the quickest rider, with Ducati placing five of its six riders in the top 10 and Aprilia having all four of its riders in that group. Riders advancing directly to Q2 include Álex Márquez, Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, Marc Márquez, Ogura, Bagnaia, Raúl Fernández, Aldeguer, Martín, and Bastianini. Those heading to the repêchage are Mir, Zarco, Marini, Morbidelli, Acosta, Binder, Quartararo, Razgatlioglu, Moreira, Miller, Rins, Savadori, and Augusto Fernández, who will battle for pole position.
